Sharing the Diagnosis
Sharing the Diagnosis
One of the first things facing someone with a new diagnosis, is deciding who to share the information with and how to tell them. This is an individual decision. There is no wrong answer. For David, the first step in sharing his diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment, was accepting the news himself. In this video, he tells us what happened from there.
To Live Well with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, MCI or another form of dementia, it is vital to stay connected with others who share your experiences. You can find that support at “Memory Café.” These gatherings of individuals who are interested in Living Well with Alzheimer’s and Mild Cognitive Impairment are being formed by Alzheimer’s Tennessee across the state.
