Like Alzheimer's Tennessee, Abridged was founded in Knoxville, making it a Tennessee Original. And like many families, founder and co-owner Jesse Bowers is familiar with Alzheimer's and dementia. The UT graduate watched a grandmother and a grandfather grapple with the challenges of memory loss and much more as the disease progressed. He reached out to Alzheimer's Tennessee, and along with his management team, decided they want to help other families and the Alzheimer's community.

"We can only imagine how many of our customers know someone or have a loved one with Alzheimer's," Jesse explained. "We want to give them the opportunity to show their support. And we want our team, from servers to shift managers, to know about Alzheimer's Tennessee and how they help our community."
