Alzheimer’s Tennessee 500
Statewide Race to Make Alzheimer's a Memory
Sept. 2025
Did you know it’s 500 miles across the state?
That's one reason we are embarking on the Alzheimer's Tennessee 500. We want to bring awareness statewide to Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. About 500 vulnerable, missing Tennesseans have been found SAFE since Alzheimer’s Tennessee volunteer advocates successfully passed Tennessee’s Silver Alert Law in 2021.
Now, Alzheimer's Tennessee and Walmart are working together to raise awareness and make sure our communities are prepared for these emergency situations by distributing "Silver Alert Kits" with lifesaving information and tools to help rescuers find missing loved ones. Six out of ten individuals with dementia will wander. It's frightening not to know where your loved one is, but knowing you are ready in case they become confused and can't find their way home is key.
Stop by a participating Walmart during the Alzheimer's Tennessee 500 to learn more about Silver Alert plus find food, fun and prizes.
Make a Donation with Credit Card or Bank Draft
Alzheimer's Tennessee is proud to share that $.85 of every dollar raised is directly re-invested in research, programs and services that benefit Tennesseans. Since this race needs a winner, when you donate, you can choose to select which region (and Walmart store) you want to receive "credit" for your support.
